I want to make this clear right from the beginning of this review. Normally when I play a game the plot is the one of the most important things to me. There has been many a game that I have lost interest in, simply because I didn’t like the plot, and there have even been games that I loved the plot enough that I didn’t care that the gameplay was filed to the brim with low frame rates and poor level design.
So it feels really weird for me to say this, but….. I absolutely hated the plot of Red Faction: Guerrilla, but still consider it to be a really good game. It felt like every thing that could be wrong with the plot was, and yet I just didn’t care because I was having so much fun and I enjoyed mocking the plot as I played. (more…)
