A player by the name of MyTime from the winning team in the Alienware Arena Left 4 Dead Tournament has been found to have cheated in the tournament, because of this team Rest in Peace has been disqualified from the tournament, and the other team have been moved up once place on the scoreboards.
I appears that after some members of the community believed there had been fowl play in the tournament, the organisers looked into the logs and found MyTime had cheated.
Wayne Ferguson of iGamers, had said:
It is disappointing when anyone attempts to cheat in a contest; however it is an inevitable reality that we as a competitive community will always need to face on occasion. Our best means of defence to keep events fun and fair is to work together, as in this case, to enact every possible means of ridding these individuals from our community. Thank you again for your contributions to this effort.
R.I.P Meister, a member of team Rest in Peace also added that:
On behalf of the Rest in Peace team I would like to make a sincere apology to the community regarding the actions of MyTime, a player recruited for our competitive Left 4 Dead team. Conclusive evidence has been provided by Alienware that leaves no dispute that MyTime was utilizing cheats during the Alienware tournament. No RIP player had any knowledge that MyTime was utilizing cheats and his motivations for doing so are unclear to us as we had played often with him and had no reason to believe he would utilize cheats.
