Dragon Age: Character Creator released.

If you cant wait for Bioware’s high fantasy RPG, Dragon Age: Origins, to hit store shelves next month, you can head over to your favourite download site, and download the character creator. The creator lets you design a character, including everything from the name and hair style, to the class and race. Once done you can save your creation of further editing later, or importing into the game at a later date.

The surname is unchangeable and is set by your characters race/origin. This could mean that your character will be refered to by their surname in cutscenes like in Biowares previous RPG, Mass Effect, or it could mean that your characters Surname and origin are going to play a big part in the story.

Overall I’m a little disappointed that with most of the character selections you only have the choice of two character origins, and if you choose to be a human warrior or rouge, you only have the choice of being from a noble family. But I guess they cant do everything.
